At Tower Health, we know that advancing the quality of care will transform the quality of life.

A friendly, inclusive environment

Tower Health offers a balance between the high energy of a multidisciplinary medical environment and the warmth and welcoming atmosphere more often associated with a smaller hospital. Here, you will find a genuine sense of collegiality among physicians, medical professionals, and non-medical personnel, with our entire staff sharing a family feeling and appreciation for our patients and the communities we serve. In this highly collaborative setting, employees from every medical, professional, and service discipline work together to provide patients and their families with an experience beyond compare.

A smooth transition for new grads

The transition of student nurse into a practicing professional nurse is challenging and often takes a year for the graduate nurse to master. At Reading Hospital, Tower Health’s flagship facility, our Vizient Nurse Residency Program eases this transition and closes the gap between student status and professional practice. Vizient connects members with opportunities to learn, improve, and build. Together with the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), participants can access top training resources in their effort to deliver better care. The Nurse Residency Program (NRP) focuses on new graduate nurses as they enter practice with an evidence-based curriculum that delivers on Leadership, Patient Safety Outcomes, and Professional Development. All newly hired, newly graduated nurses will participate in the Nurse Residency Program.

Learning throughout the life of your career

At Tower Health, you’ll enjoy a diverse experience which offers training in new specialties and abundant opportunities to grow in your professional practice. Our nurses encourage and support each other in an environment that embraces Shared Governance and promotes professional development. Our Career Advancement Program was established to give registered nurses who want to stay involved in direct, bedside patient care the chance to excel. By advancing through our five career levels, nurses can achieve autonomy and accountability as they continue to provide outstanding direct care.
